InfraRed (IR) Pod
This compact IrDA-standard transceiver attaches to a computer’s USB port to allow it to communicate wirelessly with a NEO 1 or 2 via infrared. Some computers have built-in IrDA transceivers that can be used, and these do not require a pod. |

USB Connection Cable
The AlphaSmart USB Connection Cable can be used to connect any NEO 1 or 2 to any PC or Mac computer equipped with a USB port. NEO 1 and 2 can also use this cable to print directly to a wide range of USB printers. |

Wireless Receiver
NEO 2 has the ability to print wirelessly via a laptop or computer (Mac or PC). To achieve this requires an Wireless Receiver connected via USB to the computer’s USB port. With AlphaSmart Manager 2 loaded on the computer, pressing Print on the NEO 2 will enable the required file to be printed automatically to the computer’s default printer. If the computer is attached to a network or VPN, the default printer can be a network printer. It will also allow a suite of NEO 2s to have greater functionality for wireless voting, assessment and further software compatibility. It is included as standard with all but the basic option of NEO 2. |
