  NEO 2 Technical Specifications

Compatibility:
NEO 2 is compatible with USB-enabled Macintosh (Mac OS 9 and higher) and Windows computers (Windows 98SE and higher, including Windows Vista), as well as many USB and IrDa-enabled printers Radio frequency chip for true two-way communication to support classroom response capabilities (“clickers”) and wireless printing to network computers.
It operates in the public 2.4 GHz band, the frequency used by WiFi, Bluetooth, and other wireless devices.
It uses standard IEEE 802.15.4 modulation and communication protocols to avoid interference with other devices operating in the same area.

Printer Compatibility:
Host based printers (this means that there are no drivers on the printer, the printer is completely controlled by the computer) are not compatible with Neo devices. Neo devices are only compatible with most printers that have built in drivers usually running PCL3. NEO 2 will also print wirelessly to a computer’s default printer once an Renaissance Receiver has been connected and AlphaSmart Manager 2 has been installed.
