Renaissance Place Assessment NEO 2 is compatible with Accelerated Reader, Accelerated Maths and MathsFacts in a Flash. Utilising the wireless capability of NEO 2, these tests can be taken at a pupil’s desk.

Free 2Know! voting software is also available from Renaissance Learning, enabling a class’s understanding of a topic to be quickly and easily assessed during a lesson. The range of question types that can be asked includes Multiple Choice, Yes/No, True/False, Numeric, Pulse and Short Answer, and the results can be instantly displayed in graphic form. All responses are anonymous, which leads to more willing participation by pupils.

AccelTest software, also freely available, provides a more sophisticated sytem of assessment in which pupils still use the NEO 2 but log in with an individual pupil number. Question types that can be asked include Multiple Choice, Yes/No, True/False, Numeric and Short Answer. All responses are instantly marked and a class or group record is kept displaying all responses. Marking systems Pass/Fail, Grades, etc. can be selected and all records can be sent to a SMS.
