HOT to PLOT! Part 1

Tommy Donbavand is the best selling author of the ‘Scream Street Series’ and the ‘Too Ghoul For School Series’. He also writes for a number of magazines, such as the Times Educational Supplement (TES) and Junior Education.

 

Tommy will show how by helping students create a plan for a story before writing the first word you can remove the fear that can be easily induced by a blank sheet of paper or empty computer screen.

Andy Briggs is a successful scriptwriter with scripts sold to Hollywood and in Europe, including 'Foreverman' and 'Judge Dredd'.

HERO.COM and 'VILLAIN.NET' are the first two in a double series of books - the series and the anti-series - for a young-adult audience which were bought by Oxford University Press.

In Andy’s session you will be working in a collaborative writing group that will show you how students can produce a comic book page.

Working with original artwork and blank speech bubbles you will see how students can create a unique story from the images provided.
