THE NEWS, PORTSMOUTH: Children learn to read for pleasure

A RENAISSANCE of Reading has taken place at a school where pupils have 'a book in the bag'. While national tests advocate work on key extracts, Warblington School, in Havant, is allowing pupils in Year 7 and Year 8 to read entire books just for pleasure.

TES: Literacy quizzes hold the answer
