Everest Community Academy, Basingstoke
Accelerated Reader has been in use at Everest since 2007, but since joining the Renaissance School Partnership programme in 2012 the academy has seen increased improvements in attainment. The additional training and support provided by a dedicated programme manager has led to an increased focus on student data and more effective intervention, impressing inspectors.
Harris Academy Beckenham, South London
Reading practice quizzes have made all the difference at Harris Academy Beckenham. Library circulation has increased and students are visiting the library. There is a "quiz buzz" before and after school and during breaks.
St Paul's CE Primary School, North West London
Having experienced success with Accelerated Reader, St Paul's CE Primary implemented Accelerated Maths. Teaching has been transformed, with personalised practice for every student now the norm.
The Malling School, Kent
Students are reading for pleasure at the Malling School. Reading has been made part of the timetable, and students are using the library at all times of the day. A culture of reading has spread across the school, and reading levels are rising as a result.
Nightingale Academy, North London
The additional guidance and support of the Renaissance School Partnership has helped staff at Nightingale to embed AR effectively throughout the academy. Staff and student engagement with the programme have improved and reading ages have increased as a result.
New Rickstones Academy, Essex
The Renaissance School Partnership programme gave New Rickstones Academy focused support in the areas where it was most needed. The result was a growing culture of reading and purposeful use of data to improve teaching and learning.
Woodside High School, North East London
Accelerated Reader had been running well at Woodside High, and the school was enjoying success with the programme. The team knew they could get more from the programme, however. Since joining the Renaissance School Partnership programme, results have continued to improve as students have become more engaged with reading.
Holland Park Primary School, Essex
Students love taking quizzes on the books they have read at Holland Park Primary School. Engagement with reading is improving and many of them are passing their quizzes with flying colours.
Saint George's Church of England School, Kent
Subject teachers across Saint George's Church of England School are benefitting from the reading culture that has developed, as students can now read to a higher level and are more able to access the curriculum.
Friern Barnet School, North London
