Joe Craig is a novelist, screenwriter and musician. The Times described him alongside Anthony Horowitz as one of "the best spy-kids authors... outstanding at both writing and plotting."

Fans all over the world agree. His Jimmy Coates novels are a hit with young action-thriller addicts, winning awards and inspiring 8-13 year-olds to become keen readers.

"Few books have the power to drag boys away from their Xbox or Wii, but I've seen the Jimmy Coates series in action - Super Mario is no match for this schoolboy assassin." (The Independent)

Described as “the Bourne Identity for kids” (The Times), the Jimmy Coates books are more than just action. Jimmy battles his instincts, struggling to control his own identity. He has to fight not to kill, while his government fights to kill him.

Joe  regularly entertains audiences around the world in exhilarating, exhausting, totally original extravaganzas of showmanship and explosive creativity.

All of the action-packed adventures of Jimmy Coates thus far published have all been quizzed.  And we hear there are more on the way. ..

Note:  These books currently carry an Upper Years Interest Level as the protagonist struggles with the fact that he was created to be an assassin and his adventures sometimes include violence.  We are currently working on splitting the very wide Middle Years Interest level (which stretches from Year 5 into secondary school) into Middle Years and Middle Years Plus.  When that happens, this series will fit nicely into the Middle Years Plus range.  The Book Levels of the series range from 5 to 6.
