Model Class
Model Class is the first level of annual Renaissance Customer Certification that identifies you as a ‘Model Teacher’ and celebrates your class’ progress in reading or maths. Model Class Certification is based on the sustained application of Best Practices over an 12-week period. Please check your own data using the reports listed below and when you think you have reached Model Class please apply and authorise us to check your site to confirm.

Criteria for Certification

- Using The AR Summary report for the 12 week period the application is for; check the following criteria
- Achieve 100% of the goal for median points
earned for the class (see your Certification Point Goal Chart)
- No more than 20% of pupils averaging less than 85% correct on Reading Practice quizzes
- For established readers, at least 80% of points earned are from independent reading practice –rather than “read to” or “read with”
- No more than 15% of pupils “at risk” (as
identified by codes on the Diagnostic Report)

- Using The AM diagnostic report for the 12 week period the application is for; check the following criteria
- Achieve 100% of expected objectives (defined as averaging two objectives per week in Years 2 and 3 or four objectives per week in Years 4 and above)
- Maintain no more than 10% of pupils averaging less than 85% correct in the Regular Test (T code). If only Diagnostic Tests are used and there is no Regular Test data, maintain no more than 10% of pupils averaging less than 85% in the Total Tests column
- Maintain no more than 10% of pupils averaging less than half of the median of objectives mastered in the Total Test column (M code)

On achieving this criterion you will be awarded Model Class status and receive the following:

- Model Class certificate
- 10% discount voucher off incentives
- A listing on the Renaissance Certification Honour Roll on our website

- Model Class mug
- A4 poster for your classroom
- A letter to your Headteacher outlining your
achievement
|

Model School
Model School status can be achieved annually by applying the same criteria listed for Model Class, but across the whole school. For Accelerated Maths Model School certification you must also ensure that no more than 25% of pupils are identified as “at risk” over the 12-week period.

On achieving this criterion you will be awarded Model School status and receive the following:

- Model School certificate
- 25% discount voucher off incentives
- Model School trophy
- A letter to your Headteacher outlining your
achievement
|
- A listing on the Renaissance Certification Honour Roll on our website
- A press release announcing your achievement that you can send to your local newspaper
