Master Class
Master Class status follows Model Class and is the highest level of Certification that can be achieved annually by an individual class. It identifies you as a ‘Master Teacher’ and recognises your ability to dramatically improve your pupils’ standards of literacy or numeracy. Master Class Certification is based on the sustained application of Best Practices over an 18-week period. Please check your own data using the reports listed below and when you think you have reached Model Class please apply and authorise us to check your site to confirm.

Criteria for Certification

- Using the AR summary report for the 18 week period the application is for; check the following criteria
- Achieve 100% of the goal for median points earned for the class (see your Certification Point Goal Chart)
- No more than 10% of pupils averaging less than 90% correct on Reading Practice quizzes
- For established readers, at least 80% of points earned are from independent reading practice – rather than “read to” or “read with”
- No more than 10% of pupils “at risk” (as identifiedb by codes on the Diagnostic Report)

- Using the AM Diagnostic report for the 18 week period the application is for; check the following criteria
- Achieve 100% of expected objectives (defined as average two objectives per week in Years 2 and 3or four objectives per week for Years 4 and above)
- Maintain no more than 10% of pupils averaging less than 85% correct in the Regular Test (T code). If only Diagnostic Tests are used and there is no Regular Test data, maintain no more than 10% of pupils averaging less than 85% in the Total Tests column
- Set and monitor goals

Master School
Master School is the highest level of Renaissance Customer Certification a school can achieve on an annual basis and recognises the combined commitment of staff and pupils to dramatically improve standards of whole-school reading or maths

Criteria for Certification
|
|
|
|
- For AR Master School: no more than 20% of pupils averaging less than 90% correct on Reading Practice quizzes.
- Maintain that no more than 15% of pupils are identified as “at risk” over the 18-week period.

- For AM Master School: maintain that no more than 25% of pupils are identified as “at risk” overthe 18-week period.
