Since introducing the program two years ago, the teachers believe the children feel a sense of ownership over their learning and are motivated to master objectives and progress through the Accelerated Maths libraries. The TOPS reports give them instant feedback, and the reports available to the teachers provide them with a wealth of data instantly. In the two academic years in which Accelerated Maths has been used in the school 100% of pupils have achieved at least Level 4, with a record number gaining Level 5.

Following Ofsted recommendations to focus on the teaching of mathematics to the more able pupils, Sacred Heart started using Renaissance Learning's Accelerated Maths program to initiate an after school project with the help of parent volunteers.
