Learning best classroom practices is the best way to maximise your Renaissance Learning implementation. Our seminars, webinars, and special events offer the ongoing training you need to accelerate learning for every pupil to reach the pinnacle of success through Renaissance Certification.

We offer a variety of professional development options and resources to help you get the most from your implementation. All are designed to help you transform your classroom and accelerate learning.

Webinars

School Year Set Up for Existing Customers
This session is designed specifically for existing customers of Renaissance Place as they are getting ready for their new school year. Objectives include: tips to know before getting started, backing up your database, setting your new school year dates, including marking periods and days off, and adding reporting periods for consolidated reporting. You will need district administrative capabilities to complete the objectives in this session.

School Year Set Up for New Customers
In this session you will learn how to set up your school year in Renaissance Place. This includes creating the new school year, creating marking periods, adding days off, and setting the current school year. You will need district administrative capabilities to complete the objectives in this session.

Getting Started with Renaissance Place
Designed for the staff who will be managing the technical aspects of the implementation, this session provides an overview of the Renaissance Place platform as well as instruction in key tasks for managing applications and data (defining the school year, adding pupils/personnel, and creating courses and classes).


Reading


Accelerated Reader Renaissance Place for Teachers
This session provides an overview of the Renaissance Place platform and reviews features, navigation and key tasks for using Accelerated Reader in the web environment.

Accelerated Reader Renaissance Place for Administrators
This session acquaints building and district administrators with key features of Accelerated Reader in the Renaissance Place (web-based) environment. Basic navigation, management tasks, accessing information through the dashboard, and consolidated reports are all reviewed.

Introduction and Understand STAR Reading Assessments
This session introduces teachers to STAR Reading and/or STAR Early Literacy and provides details on how STAR assessments work.

Understand Accelerated Reader
This session introduces teachers to Accelerated Reader quizzes, what points represent, and how book level, interest level, and reading level differ.

Find the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) and Schedule Time for Reading Practice
This session covers what ZPD represents and how to help pupils select books at the level that will foster maximum growth. In addition, it reviews research behind reading practice, types of practice, and recommendations for scheduling, monitoring, and guiding practice.

This session focuses on helping users who are familiar with the Desktop version of Accelerated Maths transition to using the product in the web environment. It provides an overview of the Renaissance Place platform and reviews key differences, enhanced features, and navigation for the Renaissance Place version. Dashboard, and consolidated reports are all reviewed.

Introduction to Accelerated Maths and Understanding STAR Maths
This session introduces teachers to Accelerated Maths and STAR Maths, and provides an overview of how these tools help organize the Mathematics classroom so pupils of all ability levels can succeed.

Understand the Basics, Part 1
This session explains libraries and objectives and introduces the four assignment types in Accelerated Maths.

Understand the Basics, Part 2
This session explains how to begin implementing AM in the classroom and details effective use of the practice assignment, scanning, the TOPS Report, and folders.
