Welcome to your myON by Renaissance Implementation

Everything you need to complete your myON onboarding
myON is a fantastic resource for schools. More than just an online library with 70% non-fiction content, myON offers comprehension tools, audio options and projects. There are reports to track and monitor pupils’ reading and literacy progress.
If you are new to myON, watch this video to learn more.

Your myON by Renaissance Implementation contains the following on-demand training sessions:

  1. The myON Pupil Experience
  2. The myON Teacher Experience
  3. Access to key myON resources
Renaissance Clinics

If you need to ask the Training department about something specific, the Renaissance Clinics allow you to book time with one of our Training teams in a 1:1 environment. The Clinics are fantastic for asking for advice on the products, advancing your implementation, analysing your data with some support, or just figuring out your next steps after completing the sessions.

Each clinic session can be booked for 15 mins at any time of the day; click here to book.

Access to these is unlimited, so keep the link and book as often as you need.

If you are brand new to myON, we know that getting started can seem confusing with different things to do, so to help you have a smooth implementation, we have put together a simple 5-step timeline below to help get you up and running.

Month 1
Objective  Helpful Resources
Step 1: Enrol your users

Adding pupils and teachers to myON is done through a website called Enroll and done separately from any other Renaissance products you may have. The admin login details to do this are sent to our main myON contact.

If you need help with this, please contact [email protected]

Step 2: Training session 1: The myON Pupil Experience

Covering the following topics:

  • Basic myON site orientation
  • Pupil homepage navigation
  • Connecting Star Reading data to personalise the recommendations
  • Browsing the myON catalogue
  • Opening a book and understanding the literacy tools
  • Creating Book Bundles

Step 3: Start your reading & bring all your staff on board

Launch myON with your pupils and get them reading; you may also want more of your staff to attend session one themselves, so they are equipped to support their pupils.

Month 2
Step 4: Training session 2: The myON Teacher Experience

Covering the following topics:

  • Monitor the current reading activity across a class
  • Track the reading of an entire class or pupil
  • Identify reading habits
  • Setting classroom reading goals
  • myON Projects and how they can be used in the classroom
  • The different tasks that power myON Projects
  • Making classroom connections

Step 5: Start personalising myON & what is myON News?

Now you should have enough information to track the reading happening & engaging more with pupils through the Projects.

If you also have myON News as part of your subscription, you will find this short video orientates you on how to use it and incorporate it into daily reading.

This will complete your implementation, but unlimited initial sessions will be available for you or any new staff for the first 12 months of your Renaissance products.

For any issues with importing data or BookGuide, don’t hesitate to contact the Renaissance Customer Services team at [email protected] or 020 7184 4000.
