Empowering Maths Education at Yeo Valley Primary School

Yeo Valley Primary School, Barnstaple

We spoke to Abigail Fleming, KS2 Deputy Phase Lead, who has been using Star Maths since she joined Yeo Valley Primary School as a NQT in 2018. When she joined, the school had recently started using Star Maths and, in 2021, it decided to also adopt Freckle as the products are closely aligned. Since adopting Renaissance solutions the school has seen immense progress in maths and numeracy amongst its students.

Ofsted-Recognised Intervention and Support for Reading at Ashleigh CE Primary School

Ashleigh C of E Primary School, Devon, England

Ashleigh CE Primary School, part of the Ventrus Multi Academy Trust, has been using Accelerated Reader and Star Reading since 2019 to support the school's reading development strategy.

In September 2022, the school received a 'Good' Ofsted inspection report with specific accommodations for the school's reading engagement initiative.

For Remote and Classroom Teaching, Nearpod Makes Learning Engaging, Everywhere

Bearnes Primary School, Devon, England

Teacher and SENDCo, Becky Hawling, registered for Nearpod Free Trial in January 2022 as she'd used the learning management system during the multiple lockdowns while her pupils were learning from home. With Nearpod, she was able to maintain learning engagement throughout.

A noticeable new reading culture

Dunstone Primary School, Plymouth

We spoke to Teaching Assistant (TA), Sally Geary, who has been with the school for twelve years. Sally was only recently appointed the primary contact for Accelerated Reader since January 2019. With the help of a team of dedicated TAs, Sally oversees the daily maintenance and effective administration of the Accelerated Reader and Star Reading programmes. The team have one goal, to help nurture a love of reading for all pupils.
