For the sixth year running, we’re hosting the Renaissance Awards to celebrate the creativity, success and achievement of schools and individuals in reading, assessment and mathematics across the 2020/21 school year.
The Renaissance Awards is open to all schools in the UK and Ireland, and those following a British curriculum. Some awards are also open to those not currently using Renaissance solutions. Please pay special attention to the information required for each award on the nomination form.
You can nominate:
- Yourself, your team or your school
- A colleague or a team from your school
- A staff member or team from another school
All of our shortlisted entries will be invited to our exclusive awards ceremony, where the winners will be announced.
This year, you can place nominations for the following awards:
In order to help guide nominations, we have created four broad award categories. Please choose the most appropriate award for your nomination; separate nominations will be required if submitting against multiple awards, and remember to include supporting evidence where appropriate.
Creativity & Innovation
Imagination is at the heart of teaching and learning, and creativity is the key to getting children (and sometimes parents, too!) engaged and motivated. Enter a nomination for this award if you have found a unique or unusual way of promoting reading, assessment or mathematics in the 2021/21 school year.
Celebration & Recognition
Recognition isn’t just about gifts and prizes (although some children may disagree!). It’s about appreciation and bringing out the best in children. Enter a nomination for this award if you have a found fun, unusual and effective way of rewarding and celebrating improvements and attitudes towards reading, assessment or mathematics in the 2020/21 school year.
Success & Achievement with Renaissance solutions
In previous years we have recognised schools that achieved Certification, but given the disruption caused by the pandemic – and to reflect the fact that there is currently no criteria for myON users, for example – we have decided to widen the brief for 2021. This award category invites Renaissance customers to use the reports, dashboards and outcomes measured by our solutions to demonstrate student, class and school success and achievement. If your class or school has met or even exceeded the criteria traditionally used for Accelerated Reader Certification in the 2020/21 school year, for example, then you should enter a nomination for this award.
Outstanding – an adjective all schools strive for – and achievement by an individual or team over a long period should be recognised, especially when it raises the bar for others and fosters an inclusive culture of engagement and success. Enter a nomination for this award if you, a colleague or team at your school has demonstrated Outstanding Achievement in the 2020/21 school year.
