Ofsted-acknowledged Successful Reading Development Strategy at Oasis Academy New Oak

Oasis Academy New Oak has been using Accelerated Reader and Star Reading since 2021 to support the school's reading development strategy. 

In April 2022, the school received a 'Good' Ofsted inspection report with specific reference to the school's revived reading initiative.

More pupils than ever before reaching the higher standard of reading at The Learning for Life Partnership

The Learning for Life Partnership, North West, England

All five schools at the Learning for Life Partnership use Accelerated Reader and Star Reading to support their respective reading development strategy.

In July 2022, following the success the trust had recently had with more pupils meeting the higher level expected standard in reading than ever before, we got in touch with Director of Education Jo, who explained the impact of Accelerated Reader and Star Reading having throughout the trust.

Reading Culture at Leighton Academy

From August 2020 to April 2022, the pupils of Leighton Academy in Cheshire completed over 28,000 Accelerated Reader book quizzes and more than 3,000 Star Reading assessments to promote reading for pleasure and as part of their literacy development strategy.

Invaluable Data for Accurate Assessment at Castleford Academy, Wakefield

In 2009, Castleford Academy introduced Accelerated Reader (AR) and Star Reading to their secondary school. Thirteen years later, both reading support programmes are still going strong in the school. Furthermore, in March 2022, we discovered that Castleford Academy had completed over 22,406 Accelerated Reader quizzes over the last eighteen months - the most out of all AR user schools in Wakefield!


For Remote and Classroom Teaching, Nearpod Makes Learning Engaging, Everywhere

Teacher and SENDCo, Becky Hawling, registered for Nearpod Free Trial in January 2022 as she'd used the learning management system during the multiple lockdowns while her pupils were learning from home. With Nearpod, she was able to maintain learning engagement throughout.

Evidence of Support and Intervention with the Complete Literacy Solution

Finham Park 2, Coventry, England

Finham Park 2, part of the Finham Park Multi-Academy Trust,  have been using Accelerated Reader and Star Reading since 2017 to support their reading development strategy across Key-Stage 3 and the transition into Key-Stage 4. In addition, in 2020, the school implemented myON the Digital Library, from Renaissance to support reading engagement for all students while learning at home. Since then the school has continued to utilise The Complete Literacy Solution to support classroom-based learning.

A Simple Programme that makes Reading Accessible for All

Outwood Junior Academy Brumby, North Lincolnshire

Outwood Junior Academy Brumby has been using Accelerated Reader and Stare Reading since 2018 to support their reading development strategy.

In December 2021, we had the pleasure of informing the school of the good news that Outwood Junior Academy Brumby pupils had carried out the MOST Accelerated Reader quizzes in North Lincolnshire! The academy completed over 16,283 quizzes between August 2020 to November 2021.
