About East Point Academy
East Point is a medium-sized academy in Lowestoft, Suffolk. Previously in Special Measures, the school is improving standards significantly and has recently had its rating improved following an Ofsted inspection. East Point has enjoyed significant success with Accelerated Reader as part of the Renaissance School Partnership programme, which has contributed to significant progress in literacy across the school. It became the first Accelerated Reader ‘Model School’ this year, having embedded research-based best practices more successfully and extensively than any other school using the programme nationwide.
