An Introduction to Reading T.W.O.
This resource is intended to support teachers using Renaissance Accelerated Reader with children who are not yet ready to take Renaissance Star Reading assessments.
Instead of using Renaissance Star Reading teachers will use Renaissance Star Early Literacy to track children’s progress in comprehension skills as well as general reading skills, which will help identify when children are likely to have sufficient skills to read independently. At this point children should be ready to take Star Reading, which will report their reading progress and identify their Zone of Proximal Development for reading.
It is also worth ensuring that in the remote telephone training sessions you have the necessary space so that everyone can view the computer monitor, which should be near a speakerphone that all can hear.
