West Lakes Academy, Cumbria
Students are gaining in confidence with reading at West Lakes Academy because they know that they can access the books they are reading. Targeted intervention programmes, informed by data from AR, are helping students to make rapid progress in their reading levels.
Everest Community Academy, Basingstoke
Accelerated Reader has been in use at Everest since 2007, but since joining the Renaissance School Partnership programme in 2012 the academy has seen increased improvements in attainment. The additional training and support provided by a dedicated programme manager has led to an increased focus on student data and more effective intervention, impressing inspectors.
